SightPause: Eye Break Timer

A quiet menu bar timer for the 20-20-20 habit: every 20 minutes, look at something about 20 feet (6 meters) away for 20 seconds.

What SightPause does

  • Counts down to your next eye break in the menu bar and gives you a heads-up before it starts.
  • Shows a full-screen break on every connected display, with longer breaks after several cycles.
  • Respects your working hours and days, and lets you snooze, skip, pause, or take a break early.
  • Auto-Pause holds breaks during Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, Google Meet and Webex calls, and while a supported screen-recording app is open.
  • Pauses the timer when you leave your computer and resumes when you return.
  • Adds optional posture and blink reminders, your own break screen, and separate sounds.

Plans and free trial

SightPause requires a subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. The Yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial for eligible Apple Accounts; Monthly and Lifetime are also available. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and SightPause reminds you one day before a free trial ends.

Common questions

How do I cancel a subscription or free trial?

Open the App Store app on your Mac, click your name, choose Account Settings, then Manage next to Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge.

I already paid. How do I unlock SightPause on another Mac?

Sign in with the same Apple Account and click Restore Purchases on the SightPause plans screen.

Why did a break start during a meeting?

Auto-Pause recognizes visible meeting windows of the supported apps listed above. Make sure Auto-Pause is turned on in Settings and that the call window is open.

The timer is not running.

SightPause runs only with an active trial, subscription or Lifetime purchase. Click the menu bar icon to see your plan options, or use Restore Purchases.

Does SightPause collect my data?

No. There is no account, no analytics and no ads. Settings stay on your Mac, and purchases are handled by the App Store. See the privacy policy.

How do I get help with an App Store charge?

Apple processes App Store payments. Use your Apple purchase history and Apple’s support flow for billing or refund requests.
