FAQ

How do I generate multiple barcodes at once?

Paste your values into the box, one per line, choose a barcode format and click Generate. You get one barcode per line, up to 100 per batch, as PNG images you can download in a ZIP or print on one sheet.

Which barcode format should I use?

Use Code 128 for internal SKUs, inventory and shipping labels, because it accepts letters, numbers and symbols. Use EAN-13 or UPC-A only for retail products with numbers assigned through GS1, and ITF-14 for outer cartons.

Can I make EAN or UPC barcodes for products I sell in stores?

This tool draws the barcode for any number you enter, but retailers expect GS1-assigned numbers. Get your company prefix from GS1 before printing EAN or UPC codes for retail packaging.

Why is a value marked as invalid?

Each format accepts only certain data. EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits, UPC-A needs 11 or 12 digits, ITF-14 needs 13 or 14 digits, and Code 39 accepts only capital letters, digits and a few symbols. Switch to Code 128 for mixed text.

Can I generate barcodes from Google Sheets?

Yes. Install the QR Barcode Generator add-on, select a range of values in your spreadsheet, and it creates barcodes for them inside Google Sheets. It supports EAN, UPC, ISBN, ISSN, GTIN, Code 39, Code 128, ITF, GS1-128, Codabar and more.

Is the bulk barcode generator free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark. Everything runs in your browser, so your product list is not uploaded to our servers.
