How the AI table generator works

Step 1

Describe the rows you want and, if you like, list the exact columns.

Step 2

OpenAI’s GPT-4o mini builds the table. Check facts such as prices and dates before you rely on them.

Step 3

Copy it into Google Sheets or Excel, download a CSV, or copy Markdown for docs and wikis.

FAQ

Is the AI table generator free?

Yes. You can run it twice every 20 minutes in the same browser, with no sign-up; entering your email unlocks five more runs.

How do I paste the table into Google Sheets or Excel?

Click Copy for Sheets, click a cell in your spreadsheet and paste. Each value lands in its own cell. You can also download a CSV and open it in any spreadsheet app.

Can I choose the columns?

Yes. Type your column names separated by commas, for example "Tool, Price, Best for", and the table follows them. Leave the field empty to let the AI pick sensible columns.

Is the data accurate?

The AI writes from general knowledge and can be wrong or out of date, especially for prices, statistics and recent events. Check important facts before you publish or decide anything based on the table.

Can I generate tables inside Google Sheets?

Yes. In GPT for Sheets, =GPT_TABLE("your description") fills a whole table from one cell, and =GPT_TABLE("your description", A1:D1) uses your own headers. This page shows the exact formula for your table.

Which AI model builds the tables?

OpenAI's GPT-4o mini, called through the DocGPT.ai API. DocGPT.ai is not affiliated with OpenAI, Google or Microsoft.
