The formula
In D2, then drag down:

In E2 for the description:

Variations: add =GPT("List 10-15 comma-separated YouTube tags, most specific first, under 500 characters total.", A2&" "&B2) in F2, or generate three title options per row and keep the best.

What are the actual YouTube length limits?
Titles allow 100 characters, descriptions 5,000, and the tags field 500 characters total. The template targets titles around 70 characters because longer ones get truncated in search results and suggested videos.
Can I feed it my transcript?
Yes — paste the transcript or a summary into column C and the description formula will pull real specifics from it instead of guessing what the video covers. For very long videos, a summary of the main points works just as well.
Do I need an API key to use the formulas?
No. GPT, Claude, Gemini, Mistral and Perplexity models are built into GPT for Sheets, so =GPT() works right after installing the add-on. A free tier is included.
